Learning Solutions Consultant

In this role you’ll deliver learning consultancy services to meet our client’s operational and strategic learning needs, developing existing client relationships and identifying new ones. You’ll design and develop innovative blended learning solutions in both technical and non-technical environments.

Here's some of what’s involved:

As a Learning Solutions Consultant you will work with key learning stakeholders (client, third party and internal) to establish trust and deliver on their expectations. You will use your consulting skillset and knowledge of proven methodologies to capture learning requirements and define learning outcomes to meet stakeholder strategic and operational learning needs.

You will scope, design, develop and deliver creative, innovative and impactful learning solutions for our clients.

You will develop learning assessments and evaluations to ensure programmes can be evaluated and measured aligned to organisational aims.

You will work on clients’ sites, and this will require regular travel. When not on clients’ sites there will be the opportunity to work from home.

Bring your experience:

• You have instructional design experience / experience of designing learning solutions.
• You have confidence in tech and digital skills – you are comfortable using tech and talking about tech and digital skills as well as human skills.
• You use creativity in your instructional design to meet clients’ needs in innovative ways.
• You have experience developing trainer-led, digital or blended learning solutions.
• You have a track record of establishing successful and enduring client relationships, and the ability to work with senior stakeholders and decision makers where appropriate.
• You can evidence strong consulting skills which have enabled the scoping and design of effective learning solutions.
• You have strong stakeholder management and relationship building skills that have enabled you to generate follow-on work or have created a trusted advisor relationship with clients.

Your skills:

• You have the skills to scope, elicit the requirements of a client and define the learning objectives of a learning project.
• You can perform a learning needs analysis for a client as part of a team.
• You have instructional design skills and experience of designing learning solutions for clients, including learning pathways or programmes as well as individual learning products.
• You have creative skills that you use in instructional design – you can think differently to achieve creative results for clients
• You can develop learning solutions, either self-paced, in-person or blended solutions.
• You can deliver learning products in your area of speciality.
• You are familiar with learning evaluation methodologies and can select an appropriate approach for a client based on their requirements.
• You are confident in a technical or digital environment – both using tech and advising clients about skills in a digital age
• You can write formal documents to a high standard with attention to detail and focus on the needs of the audience.
• You deliver presentations with precision and conviction while still being able and read the room and react to audience engagement in order to ensure the message is conveyed effectively.

Your background:

• You have worked in training design and development and have a keen consultancy skillset.
• You have performed a learning or training needs analysis as part of a team.
• You have produced learning products / materials that have met or exceeded your clients’ expectations.
• You have evaluated the success of learning products for your clients.
• You have an open mindset and are willing to learn new skills in a rapidly changing technical environment.
• You are resilient and able to put our clients’ needs first.
